LAS VEGAS - Sunday, October 25, 2009

Smart City Networks was recognized today by the Technology Business Alliance of Nevada (TBAN) as the 2009 "Nevada Technology Service Provider of the Year" at its annual TechNevada Honors luncheon.

The mission of TBAN is to proactively foster and support the growth of the technology industry in Nevada. TechNevada Honors is TBAN’s annual event to recognize those individuals and companies who made a significant contribution to supporting or expanding the technology industry in Nevada.

Smart City Networks is the exclusive event technology provider for the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton, Cashman Center in downtown Las Vegas and the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, offering various telecommunication services, including Internet, networking, data services and Wi-Fi. The company opened its corporate headquarters in Las Vegas in 1998.

"We’re proud to receive this distinguished honor, especially from our peers here in Nevada," said Mark Haley, president of Smart City Networks. "Smart City has been supporting the technology needs of Nevada’s convention and event industry for over a decade. We remain committed to ensuring that facilities like the Las Vegas Convention Center and Reno-Sparks Convention Center provide state-of-the-art technology services to the thousands of visitors, exhibitors, and event attendees that come through these facilities every year."
