Dennis O’Gara is the Vice President of Regional Operations for Smart City’s East Region. He oversees Smart City’s accounts in the region, including the Orange County Convention Center. As Vice President, he develops and implements programs for continuous improvement and profit enhancement, manages the renewal process for extension of existing facility agreements in the region, and oversees special projects such as new business opportunities.

Prior to his current position, Dennis was the Senior Director, Regional Operations for the Midwest Region where he provided leadership and continued growth for the facilities in his assigned region. Prior to that, Dennis was the Smart City General Manager at the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium (ICCLOS) in Indianapolis, IN. In his role as General Manager, he developed and implemented cost savings plans to reduce operating expenses that were invaluable during the recession period. He also increased sales at the ICCLOS over the previous telecom provider by 30% in the first year and an additional 25% in the following year. Within five years, the building saw revenue quadruple.

Dennis has provided specialized design and consulting services to several notable projects including Super Bowl XLVI in 2012 and the Pauley Pavilion at UCLA.
